February Reading Recap

This month I started out with the goal of reading A Breath of Snow and Ashes in anticipation of the next season of Outlander premiering in March. These books are good, I really like them but they do take about a month for me to complete usually because they are over 1400 pages.

The sixth book in the Outlander series is good, but long. I had to DNF it as it just was getting too drawn out for me. I read about 600 pages of it and needed to switch to something new. I kept a book mark in it, so that if later in the year I want to finish it at least I won’t have to start over!

From here, I decided that it would be a GREAT idea to start the Throne of Glass series, rather than read any of the 70 books I have already bought and are sitting in my room. My friend had just finished the whole series and I was super curious about it after hearing how much she loved it and being a Sarah J Maas fan myself.

So, for the last two weeks of February I read the first three books in this series. The storyline is amazing and I love all of the characters. I just finished the third book tonight actually, and it was fabulous. I am super excited to see where it goes and how the characters develop through the remaining books .

I am not sure if I will take a break from the series in March or just plow through the rest of them. The end of the third one left me very curious for the next installation of the series, I almost immediately bought it but decided to take the night to think about what I want to read next. I am going to Florida to visit my grandparents for the first weekend of March, so I am thinking I may bring Midnight Sun or The Love Hypothesis. This is still undecided, but dear followers, you shall find out in my March recap.

An amazing candid shot from my brother, always getting me best angles!
